Dr. James Turner

Dr. James Turner is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Turner is a clinical professor at the University of Tennessee, Division of Dermatology, and Department of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He has been practicing medicine in Memphis since 1980.

Dr. Turner was born and raised in Arkansas. He earned a master’s degree in zoology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Turner received his medical degree and residency in dermatology at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Turner is on the speaker’s faculty for a number of pharmaceutical firms, for which he provides consultation, clinical trials and lectures on several dermatologic disorders. He is on the Bioterrorism Task Force for the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Turner served in the U.S. Naval Reserve and was activated for Desert Storm in 1991. He recently retired as a Navy captain after 41 years of service.

He is married to Dr. E. Victoria Turner, who is an immunologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. They are the parents of two children and four grandchildren.


Malika Tuli, M.D.

Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Malika Tuli was born and raised in Missouri.

She obtained her B.A. and M.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, 6-year program. Dr. Tuli went on to complete post-graduate training in dermatology at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis. She completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Tuli is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Dr. Tuli is a clinical professor at the University of Tennessee, Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine in Memphis, TN.

She has been practicing dermatology with an emphasis on Mohs micrographic surgery at Mid-South Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center since 2001. She also performs cosmetic dermatology procedures, including laser therapy, treatment with Botox and wrinkle filler treatments.

Dr. Tuli is married to Salil Goorha, M.D. Dr. Goorha practices hematology and oncology at UT Cancer Institute. He is also involved in research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They are the proud parents of a daughter and a son.

Loree Easley, PA-C

Loree Easley is a Certified Physician Assistant who joined our practice in September 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, Texas and a Master of Physician Assistant studies at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Mrs. Easley is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Physician Assistant and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and Memphis Dermatology Society.

Mrs. Easley and her husband, John are new to the Memphis area.

Allison King, NP-C

Allison King is a Certified Nurse Practitioner who joined the practice in 2008. Allison was born and raised in Searcy, AR, and received her B.A. in biology from the University of Mississippi in 2005. She then attended Vanderbilt University where she received her Registered Nurse training and Masters of Science in Nursing degree. Allison is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Tennessee and is certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Mrs. King assists Dr. Tuli in caring for Mohs Micrographic surgery patients, addressing general dermatology needs, and performing cosmetic procedures. She is a member of the Memphis Dermatology Society, the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, and the Greater Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses. Allison is married to Steven, a native Memphian and an attorney at Baker Donelson law firm.

Marcia Starns, MPAS, PA-C

Marcia received her BS degree with distinction for Ottawa University, Kansas. She then earned an MS degree from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. Her previous occupations have included teaching college anatomy and physiology, working in kidney research and being a paramedic.

Ms. Starns completed her physician assistant degree at Chatham University, Pittsburgh PA with a Masters degree. She worked in cardiothoracic surgery at Ohio State University before specializing in dermatology. Prior to joining Cascade Eye & Skin Center, she had both clinical and research positions in dermatology in Arkansas and North Carolina.

Marcia enjoys all aspects of dermatology practice, including general dermatology, clinical trials, minor skin surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and is NCCPA certified.

Marcia is new to the Memphis area and is looking forward to spending more time with her son, who lives here.
